The plot

After another two days worth of fiddling with sensors, probes and other instruments we finally went to the plot today to do some serious setting up. And we did - we also met some friends which apparently jump and bite:

This one was quite lame, though. When prompted to do either it just curled up and dropped off S.'s hand.
We also thought we would be terribly lonely in W. but instead a huge group arrived - the Director General of the research organization the station is part off and all his family - including parents, in-laws and their friends. They're all jovial. I especially like the economist who specializes in investigating ecotourism and winks at one over breakfast. Cleaning activities and loo-paper provision at the station have also been drastically stepped up.
It seems that I have become the Broken-Internet-specialist for the lodge and so I have explained the system and how it should work to the Director General. Apparently it will get fixed tomorrow...

Bummer that S. has to go home on tuesday and so I will have to go as well because I couldn't work in the plot on my own.
