Journey back

Despite the state of the road and the steepness of the slopes on which it is build I enjoy the journey from Cuzco to W.
I just love to be surprised by whatever people do at the side of the road. Often they collect plants or guard their animals, but sometimes they do something like knit on a steep precipice far away from any human habitation. Today we passed a spot in the middle of nowhere were lots of clothes were spread out on some bushes to dry. I'm sure all these things are carefully planned but for the passer-by it is hardly apparent how people even get to where we see them.
We did stop at THE LOO, and I was forced once more to use it. I also got laughed at by two school girls - for being foreign, as V. suggested. Lastly, a cheeky dog jumped on me and I was displeased because I was sure it had plenty fleas. V. attempted to chase it away by throwing some bread into the opposite direction - the dog was of course delighted by the success of its strategy and kept coming back once it had gobbled the bread. We could only get rid of him by getting back into our vehicle. She suggested the dog was pestering us because I was scared of it - but I don't think so, firstly because I wasn't and secondly because I do believe the bread was the far stronger incentive to re-visit us.
