Winter blues

Finally, this morning the sun is out again. We had a week of snow, followed by a day of rain. At some point the council stopped clearing the roads and so the only way to get to the village - or to get out of it - was to walk, or to wait for the village-jeep-owner.

Not yet a month ago it was impossible to find clothes which were flimsy enough to help me cope with 36C whilst protecting me from the sun :(

Depression

Ever since I've started my current project I have struggled to fully focus on it. I put it down to simply feeling tired after a long period of too much work. I should be looking forward to my three-months of field work in one of the last sort-of-pristine forests on this planet but instead I just feel uninspired and unproductive. What is worse, Tango has taken on the role of devil's advocate. There are few days in which I don't ask myself why I don't dance more, hang out in Buenos Aires like my tango aquaintances or even change direction in a radical manner. At this point I normally tell myself that this wouldn't do anything for me, seeing that I have done it already three times.
